Amberley

A little after breakfast (only a little, because breakfast for me was gone 10am) we told the boys we were going to go to Amberley for the afternoon.

"Who is Amberley, is she a girl?" says Bean.

So we went to Amberley. We ate, we bumped into friends, watched the steamroller, we played on the swings, we looked at road making, we dreamed of having a little caravan on a plot of land... Bean turned a piece of wood into a ladybird, we went on the train, we played with clay, we meandered, we took our time, we enjoyed being together, enjoyed the sunshine.

We didn't go home.

We went for dinner at Stuart and Hayley's, and have left Bean there overnight :D I LOVE it when things like that happen!! Hayley said "Bean needs to have one last sleepover before you leave." I replied "He could stay tonight!" We decided it might be a good idea to check with Bean if he would like to stay. There were lots of shouts of happy excitedness - we took that as a big yes ;) Happy evening, Bear wandering around pulling things over and investigating everything, loving playing the big drums, being scared by the cat which isn't quite as big as he is any longer but which still scares him, chatting, laughing, Bean slotting in to their big family like it hadn't been almost 6 months (oh I've no idea!) since we've been round but no time at all. Bear fell asleep eventually. He looked quite grateful when I asked if he wanted to go to bed now and snuggled up in my arms to go to sleep. We'll see Bean at the PYO farm tomorrow afternoon!

Good times. Storing up lots of happy memories at the moment :)

And plotting various parties too - should be fun!
