Icecream Sundae

...that the boys declared they wanted to share with me, and then ran off and made me eat most of it by myself. Finally Steve brought them back and helped them help me eat the thing. It was HUGE.

We were on our way to Gloucester for the One New Man conference, part of the beginnings of the Regions Beyond family of churches when this was taken.

This morning we have procrastinated, packed, eaten, washed up, done laundry, fetched hire cars, packed the car, taken the hire car to friends, eaten, fixed things, cleaned stuff and eventually got out of the house and into the car and on the way. Traffic was pretty bad even though we avoided the dreadful routes, and we made it to the campsite to deliver and help pitch our tent for Blake and Bella by 9pm - getting the tent up just in time for the rain to start! Finally made it to our own lodgings for the night at gone 10pm, were reminded that they have a dog (who doesn't like being shut in the kitchen but who made friends with Steve pretty quickly on being let out again), sorted out our bed and the boys' beds, got them into bed, and discovered they weren't sleepy and brought them down again to say hello to our hosts once they got home from the evening's meeting.

We were glad to get to bed!
