Did it fall or was it pushed?

Still under wraps while the mortar cures, it's good to see this section of wall on Main Street has been repaired. A few weeks ago it was just a pile of rubble. What happened - did it just fall, or was it pushed? Allegedly, it was 'caught' by a large vehicle that was attempting to reverse into Hall Lane, providing some embarrassment for the driver and consternation to the owner of the wall. It has taken a few weeks to sort out but thankfully it is all but restored to its near original condition. Which is a good thing for the village as the wall is such an attractive and important feature, providing real character and a sense of permanence. Unfortunately, it has been breached in a few places and in others is vulnerable to collapse. But many of our old village walls have survived for at least 100 years. We owe it to them to keep them in good condition as they remind us of the skill and effort that was employed in their construction.
