Anika's Big Day

This afternoon we celebrated a friend's 40th birthday - with a 70s theme, since she was born in 1973. The party was great fun, with a beautiful piñata for the kids that was made by our friend Marianne and this wonderful novel cake from Emma who is in the Friday night drinking book club with Anika. The book-shaped cake sections have her favorite titles.

In a couple hours my second daughter returns from a week in Italy. I can't wait to see her, hear her stories, and see her pictures!
