Not the most exciting of images but it is what I spent most of today looking at. Although I'd invested in a better-ish quality bike-roof-rack my engineering tendencies were focussing on the single point of failure in the design. Paranoid that I am, I set up a mirror so I could keep an eye on the stability of the bike while pootling along the M4 and M5.

Pootling, that is, with the exception of the section that was stationary. "10 minutes delay" the sign said. No comment.

Arrived in Falmouth with about half an hour to spare, and got S unloaded and installed into his campus student flat; and very nice it is too.

Found our B&B and were very warmly welcomed. All in all a good start.
