Chagrin Falls

Driving home from our annual dermatologist appointment, we took the scenic route through the village of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Located on the Chagrin River 20-25 miles south of our neighborhood park from which I have posted frequent blips, C.F. is a quaint and lovely community, much like one you would expect to see in New England, i.e. Massachusetts, Connecticut, etc. Beautiful (and expensive) homes grace the tree-lined streets, and the Popcorn Shop at the top of the falls is a popular place to get an ice cream cone to enjoy while window shopping in the local (expensive) stores. We live, as stated, about 25 miles north, but it's a great place to visit, meander around town, take pictures of the falls, and, of course, buy an (expensive) ice cream cone.

This part of Ohio is known as the Western Reserve because when New England was first settled, it was part of the Connecticut Western Reserve. Eventually it became the state of Ohio, but it is still very much like New England, a beautiful place to live.
