THE YOUNG ROBIN

stood on the big rock in our garden and did not move away when I came nearer.
The day had started rather dark and only now and then a watery sun had appreared.
No reason not to walk in the afternoon along the Weser upstream. It started to rain when we were home again. It still does. The summer is over, we said to each other and smiled.

My haiku:

Gone are the damsels
The spiders in their cobwebs
Are their successors

And the proverb:

Men heeft geen mand nodig, om haar/zijn kabinet leêg te dragen.

Translation: One needs no basket to empty her/his cabinet.
