The International Brigades

Our village is home to one of the Interpretation Centres or museums run by COMEBE that are dotted around the Terra Alta region.

COMEBE is a public consortium, including the Generalitat de Catalunya, that was founded in 2001 to recover the historical memory of the areas in which the 115-day long Battle of the Ebro, the most decisive battle of the Spanish Civil War, took place.

The Centre in our village relates to the International Brigades and this weekend our friend G was working there, so we took our visitor down to have a look at the displays.
