Making strides...

This afternoon I was invited to tea, complete with scones, Devonshire cream, finger sandwiches, sweets, and, of course, a variety of teas....All in support of the American Cancer Society. Making Strides against breast cancer is the name of the fundraiser. Today's event was organized and sponsored by a group of women to honor the memory of their good friend Barb, who lost her fight against breast cancer. Barb's friends want to do their best to help eradicate breast cancer by planning events like this to fund cancer research. The afternoon tea was enjoyed by friends of the organizers. The lovely lady in the blip, dressed in her go-to-tea-finery was the speaker, regaling guests with humorous instruction on the fine points of preparing, serving, and partaking of tea.

Many thanks to all who left comments and stars on my "Stormy Lake" blip yesterday. The storm passed over and left behind chilly temperatures and grey skies.
