ZX14 Arrived

Today the three young ones went to the Dealer where the bikes were purchased to discuss the problem of the black ZX14 which R snr bought, but the dealer was in a serious accident with it yesterday, just before it could be delivered.

Good news is that they were able to get a similar bike, but unfortunately not in black, like that of R jnr's, but in Candy Apple Red! R snr is a teeny weeny bit disappointed, but I think it is fantastic!! You see, Candy Apple Red is my favourite colour!

The black one is a complete wreck! C took a few shots with her iPhone, unbelievable! It is really just a piece of mangled steel! I can't believe Anton, the guy who rode the bike when the accident happened, is not more seriously injured, in fact, it is difficult to believe he is alive! He has three ankle fractures, his elbow is injured quite badly and of course lots of cuts and bruises! He was in theatre for many hours today, don't know how long he will be hospitalized.

C says the three of them were in tears when they saw the bike! It is parked under a canvas cover at the dealership!

A 'Bikers Tradition' to drink a glass of bubbly and pour the rest over you new bike's nose! Hope it will still work for us, seeing that this is alcohol free bubbly, but that is what we are, so be it! Hehehe ;-)
