Quod oculus meus videt

Curly Wyrley

The affectionate name for the Wyrley and Essington Canal which goes from Lichfield to Wolverhampton. I popped out first thing to the Lords Hayes Branch junction This branch has since been filled in but it was interesting to see that the Highways Department had closed the road where the branch went under to repair the bridge. I wonder whether an accident had occured there as the bridge is narrow and has a blind summit.

Some g*ts had also dumped a low loader of rubbish in the middle of the road. The attitude of other people never fails to surprise and disappoint me.

We've been short on good sunrises for a few days so it was a pleasure to be out for this one.

Technical. ND filters 0.9 hard Lee Filter to control the light. Had to use the basic sliders in Lightroom to balance the exposure and bring up detail in the far bank and bush.
