Chocolate Path

There are so many things I love about living in Bristol that if you asked me to list them I wouldn't know where to start; but one thing I am very fond of is the names that folk give bits of the city. I mean, how many other cities have a Banana Bridge?

This photo is of the footpath between the Avon New Cut (a diversion of the River Avon around the south of the docks) and the old Bristol Harbour Railway line. You may notice that the paving stones are divided into little squares, a bit like a bar of chocolate.

Which is why everyone in Bristol refers to this path by only one name: The Chocolate Path.
