I'm on Shaftesbury Avenue to pick up costumes for a shoot at the weekend, when all of a sudden the road is occupied by what seemed like all the firemen in Greater London.

The Fire Brigades Union is striking for four hours today in protest about plans to force them to work for 5 years longer and increase their pension contributions.
