Maryport Lighthouse on a Rough Day....

We decided that we would have a run up to the Solway Firth and have a drive around there, we made our way down the coast from Silloth to Maryport where we had Lunch in the Lifeboat Inn, the Landlady made us very welcome and the food was excellent as was the Cask Ales.
We had to have a walk around afterwards to walk off the food, we ended up by the Lighthouse so I managed a few shots.

We went over to Cockermouth and we had a few hours wandering around eventully we ended up in Wordsworths House and had a cuppa or two, again we were made very welcome.
I was quite shocked as to the extent of the flooding in 2009, with marks up walls around the town where the water level got to.
