Dryhope Tower

Walked today with the club down on the border hills, partly on the Southern Upland Way. We walked nearly nine miles, from Craig Douglas up to Whitehope Rig, then to Dryhope, where we had lunch in and around the ruined tower (I was on the very top floor, but unfortunately no roof to protect us from the wind)...... from there we walked along St. Mary's Loch to Tibbie Shiels Inn. It was a good walk, quite challenging, and we were glad of our break for a drink in Moffat on the road home.

We were really lucky with the weather as the forecast was for very heavy rain in the afternoon. It didn't arrive until about 4pm, by which time we were finished the walk.

Just watched 'Strictly' ...... just love it.
