Sunday: Vineyards

A couple of days ago I had a message from an old friend who unexpectedly found himself in Zagreb on business.  Chris and I were good friends in Ukraine many years ago and have always kept in touch.  He originally hails from Baltimore, Maryland, but is now working in Kosovo.  Anyway, this morning we met up, having not seen each other for 10 years.  It was great - we had so much to talk about and it really didn't feel like it had been such a long time.  We both said that it felt like we had just seen each last week.

He then had a flight to catch so K. and I took a drive out as the weather was so nice.  It was 24 degrees today which fills all a bit odd now that autumn is supposed to be here.  Lots of people were having late barbecues so there was a wonderful smoky smell in the air.  This was taken in the vineyards just outside Samobor.
