Lake Pukaki

Backblip
This morning dawned sunshine but still wildly windy here in Twizel. Lots of overnight snow on the mountains behind us.

Set to to make the photo board of all the old images taken some 40 years back, then we all headed up the Mt Cook Road to Ferintosh Station wool shed (my blip is the entrance) for a get together and view photos and slide shows from various people. Absolutely brilliant.

Then we all scattered in many directions, our group heading back up to the Mt Cook Village for lunch at The Hermitage. What a time we had, the snow came back in and by the time (many hours and photos later) it was about 6 inches thick. We did some nostalgic things, over (and under) the Hooker (Bailey) Bridge, up the Ball Hut Rd, and others places. Not a mountain to be seen, but then it was all about old friends and having fun.
Much later we all met at The Top Hut (Twizel Pub) for dinner and group photos. Then back to have a mini hotel room party with mates.

It's been a huge day, and one of the best.

Rainie
