Rachel's baby shower

I have never been to a baby shower before. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was good fun!

Rachel is one of our Admin staff at school. She departed on Friday for her maternity leave.

Rachel has three sisters and they were there with her mum, mother-in-law, and both grannies and some of her old school friends as well as a few from school. It was an all female affair! (Her husband and little son joined her brother and the dads elsewhere!)

We played some silly games, had our nails done and ate some yummy snacks including this fabulous cake made entirely by Rachel's sister Claire. Rachel does not know what the baby will be - she asked not to be told at the scan - so one of our games was to complete a chart with our guess for the date of birth, baby's weight and which sex it will be!

I thought this cake was brilliant!
