Komplete

Kelpie Monday.

They watched over some frantic activity over the motorway in Grangemouth the past week, but all seems to be settling down there.

First I've taken from this angle, looking directly across the carriageway of the M9 motorway with the rush hour traffic lighting up the bottom of the picture. First shot I've managed with no cranes or workmen beavering away, as that's now the main part of the construction complete on the sculptures themselves.

This gives you a good idea why they're still causing the traffic to slow down and rubber neck as they loom up from the side of the road too. Next stage is to add some lighting to make them glow and be visible from miles around. When that happens, there'll be tripodded snappers set up all along where I captured this from tonight. And rightly so too, they're the most photogenic thing in the area

Spoke to one of the construction workers here on the new access canal tonight, and they're planning on moving off-site in the next couple of weeks, so hopefully that'll mean the cycleway on the other side of the canal won't be far from opening up and allowing access for some other shooting angles. I'll be running out of options otherwise.

The build up to today and background on the project.
