All Staked Out

It may be that sometime in the future when I have a Zimmer frame and dress in purple with a red hat, I will come to love the Scottish Parliament building. I doubt it, but you never know. Amongst other things, maybe these garden stakes covering the windows will take on a significance lost to me at the moment.

I walked down to Holyrood this morning purely to visit the shop. I should have known better after my last entry to see the Great Scottish Tapestry. My timing today coincided with bus loads of primary school kids and we all had to go through airport type security : jackets off, metal objects out of pockets, and bags through an X-ray machine. I managed to keep my shoes on.

Edinburgh is hotching with visitors at the moment making walking in a straight line impossible. Progression along the pavement is erratic and quite skittish at times.
It is at times like this when much acceleration and swerve are required, that I am grateful for my gym visits.
But, homeward bound, it was all conducted in autumn sunshine which has since disappeared leaving a chilly looking greyness with only the yellow and gold leaves still clinging to the trees as the available colour outside my window.
