Not Porty People and Places

An extraordinary day. From the moment the sun rose over Haifa until it set over The Golan Heights we were privileged to see for ourselves Nazareth and the place of the Annunciation, Sail on the Sea of Galilee, watch baptisms in the River Jordan and follow in Jesus' footsteps round the shores, slopes and ancient settlements of Galilee including the mount from which He gave us all His sermon.

On the lakeside we were less than 40 miles from Damascus. The events unfolding there in Syria today are a very real and tragic reminder of the fragility of our global human community. In our geographical closeness to this conflict we felt an even greater sense of helplessness.

My blip shows Nazareth bus passengers in the shadow of the Church of the Annunciation.

Ongoing WiFi issues have resulted in my posting today's and yesterday's blips on the same creaky sat link!
