Hungry Hill

What we were told was to be a leisurely bimble rapidly turned into a major expedition up Hungry Hill, taking a direct and very steep route the top, supposedly to beat the incoming weather (which never arrived!). It was lovely to have the company of Rosie (pictured here on our not so steep descent) and Ben. Despite a less than encouraging weather forecast, we were treated very kindly and enjoyed the most fabulous light and dramatic skies.

The farm here overlooks Hungry Hill across the water of Bantry Bay and yet in all the years I've been here I've never made it to the top. Today was quite special.
