The Longest & The Tallest

This morning we set of on a road trip. For more detail.
Heading north to Ingham then turning inland onto the upwards winding road into the tropical rainforest. Quite a hike but once there the vastness and size of this canyon was almost beyond belief. Not a lot of water today, the wet season is due to start within weeks, then I can only imagine what it would look like. Some statistics of Wallaman Falls, Australia's highest waterfall -
Height. - 268 metres
Pool depth. - 20 metres
Height above sea level - 540 metres

After doing a shortish walk to the viewing platforms and many photos later, we headed back down, through sugar cane farms to the ocean and a small coastal town of Lucinda which is a sugar exporting town.

This jetty is the longest service jetty in the Southern Hemisphere and the worlds largest bulk sugar loading facility. The jetty, which is 6 km long is supported by 660 concrete and steel pylons; an engineering masterpiece with its length following the curved contours of the earth

Heaps of interesting photos taken but have gone for these two more for interest factor than beauty.

Enjoy....I've only marked the map for the waterfall canyon, the jetty is on the coast (obviously) .
