The Odd Day

9-11-13
Don't you just love it when someone reminds you of a mathematical phenomenon which will not be repeated for another 92 years? Three consecutive odd numbers in today's date, but only this side of the pond, 11-9-13 isn't the same.

There, having imparted that exciting piece of news, it's on to less quirky happenings.

An impulse buy this morning in the Nomads' Tent, an emporium of Eastern delights, has resulted in a reorganisation of artefacts on window sills in order to show the new purchase off to full advantage.
One could be forgiven for thinking that 18 sills offer ample display potential, but it is amazing how many objects already grace their confines and have to be rearranged.

It's also been an odd day with weather : now this sunny view out of the window and then with little warning, a darkening of the skies while a heavy prolonged shower of rain pulses over the Meadows.
Now that I have to visit daughter#1 at the other end of the city, I would prefer the sunshiny skies.
