Scallops.....

We went to an open house at the Cape Breton Arts and Craft Council this evening. There were a few interesting activities going on.....the most enjoyable part was the food being served by the apprentice chefs at a very well known lodge - Keltic Lodge, right up at the northern tip of the Island. This young guy was cooking scallops and serving them with a lovely salad.....there was another chap serving this awesome bit sized morsel....cucumber, some amazing creamed cheese (and it wasn't Philly!) and a piece of pear on top...totally delicious...and a young woman offering chocolate truffles....oh my god...they were to die for, as they say!
Also an interesting exhibition of student and instructor work, and demonstrations taking place in the studios.
A very enjoyable evening.
