The Flock, by Night...

Salisbury's Harnham Watermeadows, almost unchanged since medieval times, when wool made the City its huge wealth, still supports a flock of the woolly things...

Under the watchful eye of the red light at the top of the 404ft Cathedral Spire, the flock sleep - and move slowly around, as you can see in this 4 minute time exposure, in the small hours.

The stars also, have moved, as Planet Earth rotates, but the tracery of twigs and branches do not...

The even more ancient place of Worship, St Thomas' church is extreme left.
