A small black wind

Running rest-day ...

... I've blipped a poem from this 1991 collection before, and here's another (this one by Gerda Mayer) which I thought appropriate for today - spent some time at our Allotment and Autumn is definitely on the way out, and winter approaches fast:

AUTUMN

Summer, the shining one, is tarnished and rusted;
The sun-silvered leaves are corroded and fallen,
The shining hopes, little by little,
Dulled.
A small black wind
Angrily churns the leaves;
Autumn is on us;
Soon winter.

The tree in the photo is one, of several, that encircle our Allotment site :-)
