Sun & Snow

Think my camera has a setting for such scenes but this photo was taken by Angie on my behalf with her ancient mobile phone and it was the best of the day. Taken during her morning ride with Sultan & the dogs. She met MrB while out on his hunting patch. He said he would come around in the afternoon as Angie needs more honey for her colleagues in Munich. He didn't show, probably having visited the christmas market in Sontheim and drunk too much Glühwein.

I hardly took any photos, busy with the chainsaw getting logs prepared for splitting and cutting the thinner branches to the right length. Lovely sunny day which led to a spectacular sunset, the mist caused by the relatively warm air (+2°C) over the freezing cold snow. Angie took some photos with the camera but I prefered the sunny morning snow scene. Today was zhe official start of the skiing season in most parts of the Bavarian Alps - In November they tend to do all the lift maintenance work after the autumn hiking season ends.
