A Bevy of beauties

Up and at 'em early this morning for a combi meet in Les Jardins Public in the centre of Toulouse.

See the combis bigger here

It was a cold morning, icy and frosty, which promised to turn into a beautiful day, which it did when I got to Toulouse, but a lot of thick fog on the way, which allowed the Terry Feckwit driving club to bimble about on the road with no lights, and usually in grey cars that were well camouflaged in the fog *rolls eyes*.

This is a regular meet up of classic car enthusiasts and lots turn up - including the combi hardcore - we were 6 or 7 combis and a few nice beetles and Kharman Ghias.
It also brings out a lot of families as just opposite there is a big outdoor brocante at the same time.

I always find it amazing how enthusiastic people are for the combis, from older people right down to young children.

I must admit that I regretted having disconnected the heating system in the summer, but glad that I had made a huge flask of steaming hot tea.

A nice time was had by all.

Now to watch Toulouse take Connacht apart *crosses fingers* in The European cup - they'll need to do something good here, given our record of not winning a match away from home this season (apart from against Saracens).

I hope your Sunday is a good one!
