How little girls draw themselves

Today the kids had friends over after school.

The boys were both happy with a bag of sweets and playing Lego Harry Potter together on the Wii for as long as they were allowed.

The girls on the other hand managed to fit the typical 12 activities into the first half hour. This comprised of the usual paper cutting, drawing, making crowns, drinking, eating snacks, playing with the dog, talking to soft toys, dancing, talking loudly at each other, going to the toilet together, writing things, watching girly cartoons, winding up the boys, planning a sleepover, making a birthday party list, etc, etc.

But then we came across a stroke of 1 hour concentration genius! A full size doll picture to dress, accessorise, put make up on, and draw things around.

Out came the craft box and the big roll of paper resulting in us tracing around them whilst lying on the floor... followed by 'comparative' peace and quiet while they decorated themselves.

In the terminology of sales negotiation, I'd say that's a win-win.
