New Year ice cream?

Water pouring from everywhere, fields flooded, culverts overflowing, rivers bursting their banks, flood plains being flood plains, new homeowners with houses suspiciously close to flood plains anxiously peering through windows!

This was the view on the way to Exmouth today. Atrocious conditions on the motorway but at least everyone was taking it steady.

We have escaped, temporarily, from wet and windy Bristol to spend a day or two in wet and windy Beer.

A bit of time away from chores at home and a bit of thinking time. Lots to think about for various reasons.

We walked along the sea front in Exmouth in exciting conditions. The sand had covered the sea front road and deep puddles lay everywhere.

A great time to get out for a walk and watch the mad kite surfers on the mouth of the Exe.

Very quiet save for some intrepid dog walkers and a few hardy souls.

A quiet night last night. Didn't quite make it to midnight as the street came out (those who had managed to stay up) and sang a pretty ropey version of Auld Lang Syne!

Anyway, no resolutions for this year but a few plans which involve getting out a bit more.

Maybe one, lime and soda until March 22! Should do me some good.

Happy New Year!
