Blown Out

Went to the west coast to get a dynamic picture of the 27' waves pounding our shores at the moment. The tide was out, the beach empty apart from this couple and their dogs, with a sea that was disappointingly pretty calm!

Had a lot of fun off-roading though today at Berrow Beach where there is a beach car park - as you can see here if you look closely! Quite handy chasing for seagull shots and being able to take pics out of the window when the wind blew up! The beach was huge, however there were big signs saying to beware of sinking sands further out, so I didn't venture too great a distance towards the breakwater.

Had a walk under the Grand Pier at Weston. Yes it was damp, yes it was a bit windy but then this huge gale force wind suddenly gusted straight across the sands. Wow did it blow - the sheer force was staggering! Tilly's lead was twanging at full stretch and she was pushed over on three legs against the buffeting. Time to head back! Bent double against the sheer force with sand and drizzle in our faces we both of us looked very wind blown and tousled as we dived into the car!!

Did rather like this pic of a lone dog taken at a calm moment.

More from today

I tried to get onto blip and upload this all yesterday evening to no avail so this is not a back blip. Will catch up on the comments tonight!
