River Aire at Bingley

Well we sat in the bank for some considerable time this morning, after making an appointment to see about reinvesting some funds from an account which had matured, only to finally be told that the whole bank management nationally was presently retraining and that we could only be assisted if we were opening a savings account! The poor foot soldier who had to deliver the message was unable to tell us when someone would be retrained enough to see us. We did tell her we weren't cross with her but why weren't we told when we made the appointment?! Anyway, when we finally arrived home after a wasted morning (Tony's birthday too! Happy Birthday Tony! xx) some high up rang to apologise.

On a brighter note we decided to splash out on a birthday lunch and had yummy pie and mushy peas at Lady Bs, then I walked down to Bingley amidst the showers to buy some project bits (I seem to have several projects on the go at the moment). My blip was taken on my arrival in Bingley, having just walked along the river from St Ives and looking towards the parish church. Another shower on its way! More views from my walk here!

No tea to make tonight because Jen and Pete are taking us out for birthday meal, hooray!
