A lovely sunny day today, so I walked under the tunnel and along the river to Wood Wharf in Docklands, to see the London Ice Sculpting Festival, which is held over three days.

The theme of this afternoon's competition was 'Fabulous Fashion'. The chaps in this shot were carving and sawing the ice into a giant ice boot, made out of massive blocks of ice. It's very impressive to see how they create the sculptures and I'd have liked to have seen the finished results, but they still had a couple of hours to finish them (and my feet would have felt like they were placed in the ice boots if I'd waited until then!)
