Ghost Ship

As part of Absent Voices Ive been focusing on ships this week,especially the beautiful paintings of Robert Salmon, one of finest maritime artists of his day.He painted in Greenock between 1800 and 1828 and took great inspiration from the daily activity on the Clyde-working ships,frigates,clippers,cargo ships etc.
Its amazing to think that the river still offers up wonderful images like this one and can still inspire us over two hundred years after Salmon painted here.......
