Cupola

This is the ceiling above the former Booking Hall at Edinburgh Waverley Station. It was built between 1892 and 1902 when the station was greatly extended following the completion of the Forth Rail Bridge. The ornate roof has a large dome and ceiling panels with fine wrought ironwork and there used to be a wooden panelled booking office and mosaic floor beneath the cupola. (That plastic bag seems to have been suspended there for ages but I think is gradually dropping down)
I regret that I will probably be unable to comment as it is difficult
to get internet now that I have travelled south to help solve a situation with elderly parents)
