Tuesday 27 October 2009: Fuseday
It comes after Monday, and just before Wednesday.
Our trusty Dyson was giving us a bit of grief earlier, still sucking as a vacuum should but cutting our every now and again. Mrs Delphwynd's initial reaction was to head off to Argos and look for a new one - this one's probably 7 years old, surely it was ready for the knacker's yard? I suggested it might just be the fuse which was countered with "it's got one of those plugs you can't remove". Obviously time for for a new hoover then, couldn't possibly check the fuse on one of those...
Anyhow, one Stanley knife and a Philips screwdriver later and the hoover was back to perfect working order. Mind you, there may a cry from the next room soon as I did have to pinch a plug from one of the lamps through there to get this sorted.
I just wondered how many times these things get sent off to the skip because people are discouraged from checking the fuse due to a fixed plug at the end of the flex.
