Last few hours of the 2014 Strathpuffer, and they're all nigh totally worn out. This fella obviously is doing the event as part of a team, as the soloists generally don't stop for clothes changes, so tend to be caked in mud!

I headed out there again early this morning - a good while before sunrise. Sunrise? No, that didn't happen. Daytime arrived and it gradually became brighter than nighttime - by a fraction. Grey gloom about sums it up. Still ended up taking three times as many blurry, max. aperture, and high ISO shots as yesterday afternoon.

The hotshot photographers (or wannabes) where setting up and triggering remote flashguns to make up for the absence of daylight. I've never tried that stuff, and don't know that I want to start amassing even more kit! May have a go at such things sometime, but as with anything, you have to do it a lot, and experiment, to be any good at it...

The day's chosen Blip, is one of the most blurred photos I took, and was possibly taken about as close as the lens would focus (if not closer!), as the rider hurtled by. Technically rubbish, but I quite like it. Not cropped. I was just too close!

(If you know anyone that was taking part, they may be somewhere amongst this lot. And at the time of typing, there's potentially many more to add...)
