Kaitorete Dunes in the Moonlight

It was great to see the skies clear this afternoon and immediately my mind went to blipping in the moonlight.

Here's tonight's effort from the dunes of Kaitorete Spit, looking out towards Birdlings Flat and the Southern Bays of the Peninsula. I reckon it's worth a look large.

The dunes here are protected and are home to unique flora and flora, including the rare katipo spider - the only land animal in New Zealand poisonous to humans. Thankfully, none ran up my leg whilst I was composing this shot. Well, none that I know of....

Incidentally, it was great to see another one of my starlight shots hit the Blipfoto Facebook Page and their Twitter feed. It's nice to know my work is being appreciated!
