Mazet - 3

Another mazet in need of some attention, although this one is in better condition than the last one I blipped - here. These buildings were used for keeping tools and for shelter from rain and sun for the workers in the vineyards. They are no longer used because nowadays the vinegrowers go out to the vineyards from the village in vans and cars, carrying their tools with them, and return home for lunch and a siesta.

I took some more close-up photos of this mazet, near Alignan-du-Vent, but I liked this one where it is seen through some vines which have already been trimmed ready for next year, and with a garrigue-covered hillside in the background... as well as the inevitable electiricty wires.

The vines around it are disappointingly un-autumnal, but it does have its own olive tree next to the building.
