and now the floods

The power finally came back on at eleven this morning. Great to be back online again. I backblipped for yesterday and the day before.

We had intense and heavy rain for most of the day and predictably the Ilen burst its banks.

The weather calmed down this evening, the wind has dropped - it's all strangely quiet. I am hopeful that the storms might be nearly over now and we can start cleaning up and getting on with having spring.
It looks ok for the next few days anyway.
