ROGER

Here is Roger the Rook who was rescued from our garden 22nd January as he could not fly. It wasn't a broken wing, but a dodgy right foot, which was preventing him from being able to push himself off the ground. Stuart up the road looked after him, to the extent that Roger would follow him into the house, or they would sit together on the garden bench. After a few days Roger flapped up into a tree, was joined by another Rook and they flew off together.

Roger has been coming back to our garden for food for a while now, though you can see his foot is odd, we wonder if it is a growth, but he seems to be managing okay.

Who could ever say that Rooks are black in colour?
