New kid in town

This had been a very senior moment day today.
Started off this afternoon when i phoned Janine to see if she was back home, as we were going up to see Arya-June and give hand her birthday present to he; she was 6 yesterday.
Janine pointed out to me that I was phoning her on her house phone, so she obviously was in.
Went into Tesco for some shopping on the way up, and then went for lunch, but since it was after 1530, JRD stopped doing lunch.

So off we set to New Pitsligo.

After giving AJ her Barbie Doll present, we nipped across the road to Janine's friend to see her new baby. A cute wee girl, born just this week, who Samara and Mikey, her parents, have named Poppy. Sister to Charlie, previously a subject of a blip of mine, and Fay. This is she.

We then headed to Fraserburgh to ASDA to seek out a jar of chilli sauce that June had been recommended. They only had the make in chilli con carne sauce. And since that cafe there was closed, thanks Janine for saying it opened until 1900, we still hadn't had lunch.

So we though we would head to Peterhead ASDA to check their stock of the sauces. But by now we were starving, and being a Sunday, and not wanting anything too much to eat, all we could find was a MacDonalds.
I know, I know. But their hot wraps are quite nice and their coffee is good enough, so we had lunch at 1810.
When disposing of the wrappings and cups, I still had some coffee left, so I emptied into a receptacle which said 'Empty Drinks Here."
Only once I did that, I realised it meant empty drinks cans here.
Anyway the other Asda only had the same chilli con carne sauce. which wasn't right,
Or was it?
Checking online, I discovered that this kind was the only kind they stocked, and this must have been the type that we were recommended.
Still, we didn't buy it as it was too full of sugar.
We don't usually purchase tinned or jarred sauces as we make our own, but since it was recommended...
We ended up buying a different make, which June is now using to cook dinner with, dinner being chilli smothered butternut squash.
The time is now 2100 hrs.
