My Young Padawan

It was a very beautiful dawn today. The sky was already starting to show bands of bloody crimson at 6.15 and i had to get some serious pedal on to make it down to the lakes while the morning fireworks where still in full effect.
Sue was already there and we headed off to track down the herd she had seen earlier. as she says in her journal, fallow deer are very nervous creatures and hard to get close to and it was great to see her assuming the position in the mud and umscow crawling towards our prey.
I had lots of nice deer/dawn images, but the rapture on her face in this shot brought about by a combination of realizing just how close the deer had passed by her, and the knowledge of CF card filled with beautiful images makes this the stand out image from the morning.
