Our last day in Yosemite and a final visit to the Merced River for a view of El Capitan. This solid granite cliff towers 1000 meters above the valley floor.

Then on to Bridalveil Falls before leaving the park and heading off to the historic gold mining town of Groveland. Arrived early evening at our charming hotel, showered and changed and went to the local Mexican restaurant. Delicious but the portions were huge. After dinner we just had to stop off at the Iron Door Saloon - a typical old American saloon bar. Great atmosphere and the locals made us very welcome!
