Star trails

This is my first star trail - was hoping to catch the northern lights - never seen them yet - the camera picked up a hint of pink and green. but this wasn't seen by my eye! I see from other earlier blips it was an amazing show further (less than 5 miles!!) west, just over the hill - typical! Bitter? Moi?!
