Ringside

A flesh fly watches the wasp's feeding frenzy inside one of my apples. The apple is one of several that the blackbirds have opened up long before they are ready to pick.

I have lost most of my fruit on bush and tree this season because the blackbirds eat it long before it ripens. So much for feeding the birds.

A lovely warm day- no rain, no wind. I was able to peel off three layers of clothing and feel summery again.
