Water Water Everywhere

We woke this morning to find that the powers-that-be had turned on the tap again.
With the ground completely saturated, there's nowhere for this extra water to go. The roads are like streams, the fields waterlogged, but the sheep and cattle eat on regardless... poor things.

Before we left Perthshire I thought a riverside walk would be good, but his Lordship who had taken 4 jackets with (?) had neglected to remember his walking boots and so I squelched along on my own. The river was in danger of lapping my feet and the ground felt like a sponge. This part of the river outside our bolt hole is a paradise for anglers, but today there were none. There were no views to capture either as everything was obscured by the rain and low mist.

We are home now warm and dry and wondering when someone is going to remember to turn off that water tap.
