Ghost Sign

We had planned a walk after shopping but Mr Flum had forgotten his boots, so it was a hoof along Portobello Prom once again.

Returning along the High Street we came across a series of ghost signs on a corner shop, exposed by the removal of many layers of paint (about one centimetre thick, we were told) from the stonework.

According to the sign on one side of the doorway the premises were of a Tobacconist and Newsagent; surprising to me is the other side, that they also sell paraffin - I wonder what Health & Safety would say?
