Look in to my eyes!!

Not the most dignified position for a lady, but when this bloke is finished I will have a short back and sides and be beautiful!!!

Today we did a loop south from Wellsford to Warkworth on the State Highway 1, then out to Leigh and back to Wellsford.

We visited SheepWorld farm and nature park. Interesting to hear how sheep dogs are trained and see them working. B got involved in sorting the sheep in to different pens depending on the colour on their heads (pink, blue or blond – no colour). Not easy at the speed they were travelling, but he did well!!

This lady in the blip was shorn and looking beautiful at the end. The wool goes to India to be made into carpets and the farmer gets $2 NZ per kilo!!

I got to bottle feed a lamb. These dainty little souls are really like mini chieftain tanks and push and shove no end. It took all of a couple of minutes to down about 150mls of milk and she was off.......

We then drove on to Goat Island Marine Reserve. There were lots of people in the water snorkelling and scuba diving. We had a trip on a glass bottomed boat which was interesting. The sea swell was increasing which made it a bit bumpy. Apparently there is a tropical storm heading in from the Pacific, due at the weekend.
